Last year I spent christmas with my girlfriend, Allie, and her family at their home in Rhode Island. The contrast of landscape going from Nicaragua to the US was so stark it provided immediate inspiration to document the journey. A delayed flight (… Spirit) and consequently extended lay-over in Fort Lauderdale allowed for morning at the beach before continuing to Boston. On the return journey, despite a disappointing lack of tacos in the airport, the stop in Mexico City gave me a great view over a country I had never seen before – they’ve got some mountains!
